A practical first-session checklist

Add two or three students manually.
Create or paste one short passage.
Run one 1:1 assessment.
Assign the result to the student.
Open the assessment report and add one teacher note.
Review the student's history so you know where the record lives.

How the pieces fit together

Passages are the texts students read. Students are the learners you assign results to. Assessments are the reading records. Reports are built from assigned assessments.

The most important habit is simple: after each reading, make sure the result is assigned to the right student. Reports, trends, exports, and student histories all become more useful when assessment records are consistently assigned.
